ICBPS– The U.S. President Donald Trump has urged the Islamic Republic of Iran authorities to reverse a death penalty against a champion wrestler Navid Afkari convicted of murder during nationwide anti-regime Iran Protests in 2018.

 “Hearing that Iran is looking to execute a great and popular wrestling star, 27-year-old Navid Afkarai, whose sole act was an anti-government demonstration on the streets. They were protesting the ‘country’s worsening economic situation and inflation,'” President Trump wrote on his account.

“To the leaders of Iran, I would greatly appreciate if you would spare this young man’s life, and not execute him. Thank you!” President Trump added.

On August 28, the exiled Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi urged international sports entities, athletes, and wrestlers worldwide to stand up to Navid Afkari, as he stood up to save others.

Islamic Judiciary system sentenced the Iranian wrestler Navid Afkari to the death penalty for participating in peaceful protests in Iran. Navid, 27, was arrested during the 2018 nationwide Iran Protests in Shiraz. The Islamic agents have severely tortured Navid to extract confessions from him. In a letter, the wrestling champion described the horrific physical and psychological tortures he had undergone. He was under pressure by agents, endured the most horrendous tortures. Islamic Agents also poured alcohol into his nose.

In Iran, confessions are extracted under torture.

The competition-winning Iranian wrestler received two death sentences for taking part in anti-regime protests in Shiraz.

The Islamic regime of Iran is experienced to torture dissidents to force them into making false confessions or to break their resistance.

According to the judiciary-run Mizan Online, the Islamic Supreme Court upheld the wrestler’s death sentence in an August 15 ruling.

United World Wrestling Organization has come out in support of Navid and launched a petition, urging people worldwide to put the Islamic Clerical regime under pressure to repeal the medieval conviction.

According to the news, his two brothers also received sentences of 54 and 27 years, as well as 74 lashes each. 

The executioner Islamic regime puts dissidents on death row to ‘decisively’ deal with anti-regime uprising.

In August, Iranian netizens launched a hashtag in Farsi [#اعدام_نکنید] that ended up trending worldwide with over 5.5 million tweets against capital punishment. On the same day, Iranian citizens came out in support of the three men, who are still on death row, painted graffiti on walls across Iran, showing their rage against the medieval punishment.
