Notes on the ICBPS venue - Crowne Plaza Hotel

1. The Hotel Crowne Plaza, Park View, Wuzhou, Beijing.  This hotel on the 4th Ring road in north west quad is probably the closest and easiest to get to large name brand hotel from airport but cab drivers rarely speak other than Chinese. This is the Park View Wuzhou Crowne Plaza.

2. Crowne Plaza Park View is a large beautiful hotel with a great staff, excellent food and all amenities. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and much like those breakfasts at the Sheraton and Shangri La in previous SISPAT meetings.  Lunches/dinners at any of the several hotel restaurants are nice and reasonably priced. Rooms are about 150%-200% larger than name brand hotel rooms in US/Europe at about 50% or less the cost in US/Europe.

3. The Crowne Plaza is at the heart of the Beijing Olympics (2008) and is a headquarters for the continuing IOC senior staff meetings.  A couple blocks away is the now famous and very unique "Bird Cage" stadium  - the central venue for the 2008 Olympics.  A great experience to be in Beijing at the Crowne Plaza at this time.

4. We are still accepting new participants who have an interest in this vital area and we will continue to make, as long as possible, reservations at the Crowne Plaza at the nicely discounted rates as outlined in para K 2. in General Information.
